Let's talk about Russia!!!
Last week the Russian people celebrated Maslenitsa. It is a long-traditional Russian holiday and it coincides with a religious holiday known as Forgiveness Sunday. This day is well-known for national celebrations, competitions, songs and dancings, driving from a hill, riding horses, visiting relatives and, of course, baking bliny. Gaiety come to the end with burning of a dummy, in this way winter is escorted, symbolically everything poor is burned. This day it is accepted to ask each other for forgiveness being prepared to the Lent - for a deep repentance which precedes the greatest holiday to Easter.
